Annual General Meeting 2019

This year the DCC AGM was held on the 27th of March, at the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club. The evening started with a welcome drink over the stunning harbour view and with the cosy atmosphere, the meeting started out with Mrs. Anita Vogel as the facilitator presented the agenda for the AGM.

The Chairman, Mr. Thomas Andersen gave his report for 2018 with list of main events that DCC successfully organised such as Thomas Helmig concert, then collaboration with Premiere Performances and promoted the world-renowned Danish String Quartet and by tradition the annual Christmas party.

The highpoint of 2018 was in May where DCC together with other organizations convinced the Danish Tax Ministry to review and finally scrapped the new tax proposal for Danes living abroad. The new law proposal had deep negative impact for Danes living abroad, especially those living in low tax countries/regions such as Hong Kong. That was one of the achievements that we at the board were most gratified of.

The meeting followed by the financial report 2018 and budget 2019 by the Treasurer, Mr. Lars Nielsen. The current Committee Members and auditors was re-elected, and the General Assembly completed.

The evening continued with a presentation by Mr. Morten Filipsen, VP Asia of the very successful wine app, Vivino. Mr. Filipsen presented the founders and concept behind Vivino. How the millions of reviews and ratings of the wines worked and Vivino’s business expansion to e-commerce.

All participants stayed for networking while enjoying delicious cocktail food and wine. The Board sends a special thanks to all the guests and to Mr. Morten Filipsen for the great presentation!
